With the mercury soaring, we've been attempting to dodge the direct rays, but when it comes to admiring Alberti's stunning facade of Santa Maria Novella there's no choice. It is fantastic, having just been restored, and one of the great aspects of this year's course is that everything appears to have been finished, so we were able to really appreciate the beauty of this spectacular city.
In the afternoon it was our tour of the Uffizi gallery, incredible stuff!
